Lemon Sauce I
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 tsp lemon rind
- 3 tbs lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler; cook, stirring constantly, over hot water until thick and smooth.
Yield: About 1-1/4 cups.
